I had been shopping for a new boat for quite awhile and had narrowed my choices down to Starcraft or Starweld. I knew what I wanted in options so searched dealers within 500 miles of Toledo Ohio and found Bay Outboard Marine's website. I first liked the fact that they showed the price of the boats without me having to fill out forms only to get a salesperson wanting my first born in order to get a price. I contacted Kent and explained what I was interested in and he took the time to listen and never was pushy. He made suggestions and I asked for a few items and without alot of dickering, we came to a agreement on the boat I purchased. Kent explained everything about me being from Ohio on how the transaction would work and we set a date to pick it up. My Dad and I drove up and met Kent for the first time. From that moment on we knew that not only was he the salesman but he was also the person that knew everything that was on that boat and he explained in detail how they all worked. Never owning a boat with the electronics that this has led me to ask alot of questions and he answered all in detail. That in my eyes is a Professional! The thing I found to be the best advice from Kent was to put the boat in the water, turn it around and "Get away from the dock" before you start playing with the trolling "Brain" motor. We brought the boat home and I had a question about the surge brakes and called Kent and he had the answer. He is not any relation to me but I can say that I feel I made a friend in him and will suggest to anyone looking for a "Expert" in the boating industry, to go see him at their family run store. Thank you to Bay Outboard Marine for making my dream come true and hope I never have to see the service department but if I do,I'm 100% sure they will be as professional as Kent is.

Service was explained as to what would be needed, promptly answered my questions in area's I had little knowledge, gave me idea's on what I "should" do, in relation to boat maintenance. Any time I've called, I felt they welcomed my questions!

After a garage fire ruined my one year old Starweld, And local dealers jerked my chain, OBM gave me straight and true prices and talk about new evinrude motor. Asked if I could pickup in 12 days for vacation. And everything was ready as promised. I would drive another 750 miles to buy a boat here! THANKS AGAIN

Hi Kevin, Thanks for the note. We love it. We received several compliments on the lake over the holiday. People really liked the teak floor, it was quite a conversation piece. I originally wanted a four stroke motor but I gotta tell ya, the E-tec is just great. The right amount of power for this lake, and it is so quiet!

How do you spell AWESOME! I spell it ETEC and Starcraft Super Fisherman! Finally got in water on Sunday, only for 3 hours during mid day, caught three keeper walleyes, everything worked beautifully. Trolling plate slowed boat down better than I even hoped. Having owned a yamaha 4 stroke 115 hp, I can honestly say the ETEC in same hp is at least 30 percent stronger. The boat handled 3 footers with ease AND a dry ride. I have owned several boats in my life, this is the best combo yet!

I would like to thank Kevin and everyone at Bay Outboard for the first class service I got when I purchased my Starcraft STX 206 Viper. The rigging was top notch, and it was everything I expected and more. Anyone looking for a new boat or work done on a used one should check Bay Outboard Marine out.

My grandfather bought his 16' Meyers Lake Fisherman and Johnson 25hp motor from John in 1977. He passed it to my dad in 1984, who actuall drove to Michigan to pick it up. Now it's mine and will someday belong to my son, which will be the 4th generation, and still the farthest "west" Meyers boat ever. I had to replace the steering cable, which had come off, and after finding the original receipt of purchase, I searched the internet and found that Bay Outboard Marine was still in business. I contacted customer service through email and Kevin put me in contact with Jack who gave me all the info I needed to replace and adjust the cable. What a pleasure to deal with such friendly, knowledgeable people. It made me want to be in Saginaw so I could deal with them in person. As a young boy I watched my dad for years purchase boats from Bay Outboard. On a vacation you want something you can trust,depend on and this is one thing you can count on with Bay Outboard they will work with your needs. When it came time for me as a adult and with kids and wife to purchase a boat there was no thinking about it Bay Outboard was our place to buy. I still currently own two Sylvan Boats one out riged for the big water and one for inland lakes would like to say I would not have been happy anywhere else with my purchases. My family has been buying boats (4) from Bay Outboard for over 40 years. That says it all. They are also the most knowledgeable people on outboards. Great sales. Great service. Great deals. The starcraft 180 tiller with the 90hp e-tec has to be one of best and most versatile boats built...especially if you're a duck hunter and fisherman.
